Sometimes an artwork emerges directly from a historic moment. During a trade fair setup in 2022, Shalynn—an intern from Nimeto Utrecht—painted this unique small Portrait Urn. While not based on a personal silhouette, it was created as a subtle tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, shortly after her passing.
Despite its modest size, the urn makes a strong statement: hand-painted in the iconic colors of the Union Jack, with precise lines and a soft beeswax finish that gives it a gentle sheen. The piece drew much attention for its bold yet respectful symbolism.
While this urn does not contain a profile, it fits seamlessly within the Portret Urn collection—as a piece of art that commemorates with quiet dignity.
